Abstract:
Celina González narra cómo aprendió a bordar el tahmachkami:sah. Al principio aprendió hacer el bordado hilvánes en una tela que se llama cuadrillé. Primero hizo seis pecheras con bordados de color para una camisa. Después aprendió hacer otros bordados con imágenes de zorras, águilas, venados y otros variados dibujos. Estos bordados se hacían para los hombros. Se llamaban 'pensamientos' y se hacía con flores xo:chimekat, de diferentes colores. Las imágenes se iban copiando en otro bordado y para no equivocarse. Al principio ella iba contando los cuadros en la tela. Enseguida aprendió hacer el tahmachkami:sah que le llaman ma:xoloch. También sabe hacer bordados con imágenes de santiaguitos. Por último aprendió el punto de cruz y sabe hacer un poco los bordados con gancho. Para hacer un tahmachkami:sah, primero hacia las seis pecheras; dos pares de pecheras largas para los hombros y otras dos pecheras más cortas para la espalda y el pecho. Después de terminar, hacía la unión de las pecheras para formar el tahmachkami:sah o cosiendo a mano ella misma con hilo o buscando a otra persona que tenía máquina de coser. Terminando de coser las pecheras, le hacía el pico en las orillas del bordado para que al usar la camisa no se desprendieran los bordados. Después de haber hecho el pico y tiene ya terminada el tahmachkami:sah si la quería vender la llevaba al mercado buscaba a una persona que la quisiera comprar. González aprendió hacer el tahmachkami:sah pero casi todas las que hizo no eran para vender sino para vestido de uso personal. Cuando le dedicaba tiempo para hacer un tahmachkami:sah (bordado), la terminaba en una semana. Si sólo trabajaba en bordar dos horas al día, le llevaba más tiempo. Actualmente ya ha cambiado la forma de hacer el tahmachkami:sah. Por ejemplo, existen nuevas imágenes tales como tortugas, peces, palomas y hasta dibujos de carros. El hilo que se usa más en los pueblos es el hilo cadena. Algunas mujeres ya hacen las tahmachkami:sah con bordado usando hilos de muchos colores. Antes eso no se hacía. Estas prendas de muchos colores son más caras que las de menos colores. Valen como de quinientos hasta seiscientos pesos. La mayoría de las mujeres de San Miguel Tzinacapan, Ayotzinapan y Xaltipan usan el tahmachkami:sah con bordado de un solo color. Las mujeres de Santiago Yancuitlalpan, San Andrés Tzicuilan, Acaxiloco y Xiloxochico usan tahmachkami:sah con bordado de muchos colores. ; Duration: 12:11; Sampling rate / bit depth: 48 KHz / 16-bit
