Reading achievement, risk for SLI and language comprehension in bilingual 3rd grade students
Adams, Lisa I.. - 2015
Abstract: This study investigated the relationships between risk for specific language impairment SLI, oral and written language comprehension, and overall reading achievement in bilingual third grade students. Results indicate that risk for SLI was highly correlated with reading achievement and overall language comprehension in English, but not in Spanish in these students. Risk for SLI was also highly correlated with both English and Spanish letter recognition skills, but not with overall written language comprehension in either language. ; Communication Sciences and Disorders
