Abstract:
International audience ; L'objectif de cet article est d'analyser les discours épilinguistiques de jeunes migrants d'origine camerounaise résidant à Paris, rencontrés par le biais d'une association panafricaine dont je suis membre depuis trois ans. Ma réflexion se fonde sur une recherche réalisée selon une démarche ethnographique ayant permis de recueillir des entretiens. Considérant la variation stylistique comme un phénomène actif permettant au locuteur de (re)définir le contexte de l'interaction ainsi que ses identités personnelles et interpersonnelles, j'analyse les positionnements épilinguistiques des locuteurs vis-à-vis de leurs pratiques langagières et le rôle qu'ils attribuent à la variation stylistique dans la construction de leurs relations interpersonnelles. Si tous les locuteurs, du fait de leurs activités associatives et à travers leurs discours, s'identifient à un ou plusieurs groupes d'appartenance catégorielle (« afrodescendants » et/ou « Camerounais »), les positionnements épilinguistiques individuels vont varier non seulement en fonction de leurs trajectoires sociales, mais aussi en fonction de leur mobilité au sein de différents réseaux relationnels et des rapports de place co-construits par les participants au cours de l'interaction.
