Abstract:
ISSN : 2111-5044 ; International audience ; The purpose of our publication is to report on a work aimed at describing the (potentially) violent increase in verbal tension through professional email. In other words, it is a question of describing and understanding the influence that digital writing can exert in terms of an interdiscursive relationship as a product, but also as a source of modification of the interpersonal relationship between members of the same department. university. More specifically, our corpus, made up of cc-type emails exchanged between a plurality of academics, is questioned from the angle of linguistic analysis of interactions: openings and closings; linguistic and discursive indicators of relation and softening or hardening methods of the relation (model of politeness of Brown and Levinson (1978, 1987) redesigned by Kerbrat-Orecchioni (1992; 2009)). We cross the linguistic analysis of verbal violence (Auger et alii, 2008; Fracchiolla et alii, 2013; Romain and Rey, 2015; Rey et alii, 2014) with analysis in speech acts (Austin 1962; Searle 1969; Romain and Lorenzi, 2013; Fracchiolla and Romain, 2015). Our hypotheses are that on the one hand electronic exchanges, which are based on an already conflicting interpersonal history, have the consequence of deteriorating interpersonal relationships by crystallizing the exchange from the slightest misunderstanding to reactivate a preexisting disagreement. On the other hand, institutional email in cc would be conducive to strengthening the convergence of interactants on an object of conflict. ; L’objet de notre publication est de rendre compte d’un travail visant à décrire la montée en tension verbale (potentiellement) violente à travers le courriel professionnel. Autrement dit, il s’agit de décrire et de comprendre l’influence que peut exercer l’écrit numérique en termes de relation interdiscursive en tant que produit, mais aussi que source de modification de la relation interpersonnelle entre les membres d’un même département universitaire. Plus précisément, notre corpus, constitué de mails de type cc échangés entre une pluralité d’universitaires, est questionné sous l’angle de l’analyse linguistique des interactions : ouvertures et clôtures ; indicateurs linguistiques et discursifs de relation et procédés adoucisseurs ou durcisseurs de la relation (modèle de la politesse de Brown et Levinson (1978, 1987) réaménagé par Kerbrat-Orecchioni (1992 ; 2009)). Nous croisons l’analyse linguistique de la violence verbale (Auger et alii, 2008 ; Fracchiolla et alii, 2013 ; Romain et Rey, 2015 ; Rey et alii, 2014) avec l’analyse en actes de langage (Austin 1962 ; Searle 1969 ; Romain et Lorenzi, 2013 ; Fracchiolla et Romain, 2015). Nos hypothèses sont que d’une part les échanges électroniques qui reposent sur un historique interpersonnel déjà conflictuel, ont pour conséquence de détériorer les relations interpersonnelles en cristallisant l’échange à partir du moindre malentendu pour réactiver une mésentente préexistante. D’autre part, le courriel institutionnel en cc, serait propice à renforcer la convergence des interactants sur un objet de conflit.
