	Abstract: В статье представлены результаты сопоставительного изучения фрагментов двух языковых картин мира, в которых отражаются два разных национальных образа мира. В данном случае национальный язык является «зеркалом», в котором отражаются единый инвариант бытия этноса и конкретные черты национально-специфической проекции этого инварианта бытия. Поставленная цель достигается путем анкетирования носителей русского и монгольского языков с последующим описанием полученного языкового материала ассоциативных полей и обыденных толкований слов тематической группы «домашние животные». ; The article presents the results of a comparative analysis of two national linguistic world images reflecting representations of the world of native speakers of the Russian and Mongolian languages. The national linguistic world image is seen as a linguo-mental component of the linguistic consciousness of native speakers. The purpose of the research is achieved by surveying native speakers of Russian and Mongolian (100 people from each ethnic group) with a further description of the material: associative fields and ordinary interpretations of words of the thematic group "domestic animals". As an illustration, a comparative analysis of two words, Russian "korova" [cow] and Mongolian "unee" [cow] is made. We obtained the following main results of the comparative study of the ordinary interpretations of the words: 1. Russian and Mongolian linguistic world images in this part of the language system have areas of intersection and divergence. 2. In the center of the linguistic consciousness of Russian and Mongolian language personalities are cognitive features expressing the utilitarian attitude of man to animal. Conceptual features of qualifying nature are also significant. 3. Russian and Mongolian linguistic world images differ in the features that characterize the animal's innate or acquired qualities, properties, functions. They also differ in the characteristics conveying the emotional attitude of man to the animal. We also found areas of intersection and divergence in associative fields. The intersection areas are associations related to such areas of reference as "milk", "cattle", "horns", "characteristic function". Divergence in associations is related to the following areas of reference: in Russian: "habitat", "characteristic features, properties", "artifacts associated with the animal", "emotional-evaluative attitude to the animal"; in Mongolian: "names of other animals", "evaluation of the animal", "associations connected with national culture". Thus, the construction of this fragment of the Russian and Mongolian national linguistic world images involves all components of ordinary linguistic consciousness, but the role of each of them in the formation of the national worldview is not the same. The sensory-receptive component of consciousness has a greater influence on the formation of the national linguistic world image. Under the influence of this component cognitive features are formed uniting the encyclopedic and utilitarian components of the associative fields and interpretations of words in both languages. There are a few cognitive features of emotional-evaluative and socio-cultural components in the structure of the associative fields, and in the ordinary interpretations of the words. However, they are among the components that determine the uniqueness of the national linguocultures.
