Abstract:
Актуальность и цели. Актуальность статьи определяется необходимостью разработки алгоритмов для перевода новых реалий с современного английского языка. Обращение к современной британской литературе и современному британскому кинематографу дает возможность осознать появление языковых и внеязыковых реалий, с переводом которых могут возникнуть трудности. Целью является поиск адекватных вариантов перевода и методов перевода, наиболее подходящих для работы с современной художественной литературой и художественными фильмами. Материалы и методы. Реализация исследовательских задач была достигнута посредством использования материалов произведений Гарриет Бичер-Стоу, Джона Кинга, сериала «Питер Кингдом вас не бросит» (ТК «Культура»), а также некоторых фразеологизмов современного британского английского. Методологическая база основана на использовании методов перевода, предложенных современными исследователями теории и практики перевода Линн Виссон, Ю. Н. Марчуком, Н. К. Гарбовским, Л. Л. Нелюбиным, Г. В. Тереховой и др. Результаты. Рассмотрены методы перевода реалий и предложены алгоритмы поиска верного эквивалента посредством анализа истории перевода реалий и культурного и энциклопедического исследования. Выводы. Перевод реалий требует индивидуального подхода переводчика и глубоких энциклопедических знаний данной темы. Таким образом, не все методы перевода могут быть приемлемы для такой работы. В частности, системы машинного перевода, успешно использующиеся для перевода стандартных научно-технических текстов, неприемлемы для перевода реалий, описанных в современной художественной литературе и художественном кинематографе. ; Background. The article’s topicality is defined by the need of development of algorithms in order to translate new realities of the modern English language. Analysis of modern British belles-lettres and modern British cinematography provides resources to find the origin of linguistic and extralinguistic realities, which can cause difficulties at translation. The objective is to establish adequate methods and variants of translation, which would be the most appropriate for modern belles-lettres and films translation. Materials and methods. The research tasks were completed using the studies of works by Harriet Beecher-Stowe, John King, quotations of “Kingdom” TV-series (The Cultura TV channel), and a number of new idioms of modern British English. The methodological basis included translation methods offered by modern researchers of the translation theory and practice, i.e. Lynn Visson, U. N. Marchuk, N. K. Garbovsky, L. L. Nelyubin, G. V. Terekhova etc. Results. The methods to translate new realities have been analyzed and the algorithms to search a proper equivalent through the analysis of realities translation history and encyclopedic research have been suggested. Conclusions. Translation of realities requires an individual approach of a translator and his deep encyclopedic competence in a given topic. Thus, not all translation methods can be appropriate for this research. In particular, the systems of machine (computer) translation that have been successfully applied to translate uniform scientific technical texts are not acceptable to translate the realities described in the modern belles-lettres and cinematography.
