This case study highlights the interest of combining philological knowledge, geographic information retrieval and visualization. While the first prompts for further refinements, the latter two inform the interpretation of the text. Two different filter settings as well as maps focusing on the 1910s and 1920s are compared. Issues related to historical texts, data curation and preparation, processing of linguistic corpora and geocoding are presented and discussed.
