Abstract:
International audience ; Ersu is a little-studied, endangered and unwritten Tibeto-Burman language of Southwest China. This paper introduces a romanization system for the Ersu language, and discusses the system's value from the perspective of language endangerment and conservation. The paper comprises five parts. Part 1 provides background information on the Ersu language, including its distribution, number of speakers, and dialectal variation. Part 2 outlines some major factors in Ersu becoming endangered, and it discusses the significance and methodology of its documentation and preservation. Part 3 summarizes previous research on Ersu. Part 4 outlines the major principles underlying the Ersu Romanization System, and the choice of the standard dialect on which it is based. Part 5 introduces the Ersu Romanization System. ; 中国濒危尔苏语言抢救保护与尔苏语拼音转写方案的创建 （Wang Dehe 王德和 & Katia Chirkova 齐卡佳） [摘要]尔苏语是川西南 20 世纪 80 年代新发现小语种之一。尔苏语高度濒危。本文从濒危语言记 录和典藏的角度出发，讨论了尔苏语拼音方案的构建要点。一是简要介绍尔苏语分布、人口、地方 土语；二是介绍尔苏语濒危的主要原因，以及尔苏语典藏和保护的意义和方法；三 是 介 绍 当前尔苏 语研究的国际前沿；四是介绍尔苏语拼音转写系统的建立以及标准音点的选择。五是尔苏语拼音转 写系统的具体内容。 [关键词]尔苏语 语言生态 语言活力 濒危语言 语音系统 拼音方案 藏缅语族 羌语支 [中图分类号] [文献标识码] A [文章编号]1004-3926（2007）04—0001-008 [基金项目]英国伦敦大学濒危语言联盟 ELDP MDP 0257（中国尔苏语与旭米语抢救）成果 一、尔苏语生态环境及研究概述 1 尔苏语言的生态环境 学界认为，尔苏语属汉藏语系藏缅语族羌语支南支，是中国四川西南部部分藏族使用的 语言。尔苏语语言组分尔苏语、多续语和里汝语 3 种语言 ① 。操这个语言组的三种语（方） 言的藏人彼此之间不能通话 [1] 。本文的 " 尔苏语 " 特指分布于中国四川省凉山州的甘洛县、 越西县，雅安市的石棉县、汉源县等地的尔苏人使用的语言。 近现代以来尔苏语的语言生态环境恶化，尔苏语的语言活力下降，尔苏人口十六千余， 但能够用母语交际的不足八千人 [2]（13） 。汉源县有尔苏人两千余，全部使用汉语，已不会用 母语交际。石棉县有尔苏人七千多，能够用母语交际的不足两千人，境内只有回隆乡、永和 乡、 宰羊乡和蟹螺乡的一部分尔苏人会说尔苏语， 大部分转用汉语。 越西县有尔苏人两千余， 据黄世部先生 2012 年的入户调查，其中有三百多人不会说尔苏语。部分越西尔苏人的语音 里，一些复辅音如前置鼻音、前送气音已经消失。甘洛县有尔苏人四千余，其中平坝乡境内 的近三百尔苏人全部改用汉语，不会说尔苏语。居住在城镇的尔苏后代、父母均为单位上的 双职工子弟和族外婚子女不会讲尔苏语。 [3] 全县共有千余人不会尔苏语。和汉族杂处的个别 乡村尔苏人发音简化，尔苏语保守发音中的两套塞擦音（ʈɽ / ʈɽʰ / ɖɽ 和 ʧ / ʧʰ / ʤ）已合 并为一套塞擦音（ʧ / ʧʰ / ʤ） 。地处马基岗山地周边的蓼坪乡、则拉乡、海棠乡、团结乡 的尔苏人，由于地处高寒山区，交通闭塞，生产力落后等原因，再加上尔苏人在局部地区相 对聚居，尔苏语保留得相对好些。大部分在城镇生长的少年儿童的语言态度发生偏差。他们 以能够说汉语普通话为荣，以说尔苏母语为耻。他们用汉语回答长辈的尔苏语提问，有部分 人真的不懂尔苏话。尔苏语的代际传承出现了严重问题。 2 尔苏语研究概述 我国民族语言学界调查研究尔苏话，始于 20 世纪 80 年代初的 " 新发现语言调查 " ，到 目前为止是 " 研究得比较少，公布的材料也比较少 " 的语言。早期开创性研究包括孙宏开和 刘辉强分别介绍甘洛县玉田区则拉乡的尔苏话 [4] 和甘洛县蓼坪乡清水村的尔苏话的语音、词 汇和语法特点 [5] 。另外，孙宏开收集了近 3000 个词汇，1991 年在《藏缅语语音和词汇》上 发表。宋伶俐在甘洛县新市坝镇调查了甘洛县团结乡马伊呷村的尔苏语，重点讨论了其动词 趋向前缀和体标记系统。 [6] 近期深入研究有张四红博士对越西县保安藏族乡拉吉谷村的尔苏 话，进行嵌入式田野调查，撰写一部完整的语法著作， 《A Reference Grammar of Ersu, a Tibeto-Burman Language of China》 [7] 。本文作者自从 2011 年以来记录描写甘洛县则拉乡尔 苏话（本文作者的母语之一） ，发表介绍甘洛县尔苏话的语音概况 [8] 等论文。本文作者长期
