Pronombres de trato y clase social en una comunidad canaria ; The Address Pronominal System and Social Classes in a Canarian Community
In: Revista de Filología, n. 24 (2018)
Abstract: The address pronominal system (tu and usted in Spanish) plays an important role in daily interaction, for they convey not only linguistic meanings, but also interpersonal and sociocultural. It is the same behaviour we can find in other fields of language, as in euphemisms and disphemisms. This paper examines some of these functions in the speech of San Sebastian de La Gomera.
