Abstract:
El presente trabajo recoge algunos proverbios populares de actual uso en Damasco. Con ello se pretende ofrecer nuevo material para el estudio del dialecto de la capital Siria y al mismo tiempo reflejar la supervivencia de proverbios tradicionales en un dia lecto árabe moderno. Adicionalmente, un capítulo está dedicado a las fuentes más relevantes para el estudio de la paremiología de la zona, ofreciendo un listado detalladamente comentado de las mismas. Todo el material lingüístico ha sido extraído de seri es de televisión sirias y turcas emitidas en canales de televisión por satélite, que reflejan fielmente la variedad vernácula de la capital. Los proverbios han sido transcritos, traducidos al español y comentados. La mayoría de ellos incluyen además un proverbio similar en lengua española. Asimismo, se han indicado las fuentes en las que los proverbios están documentados, las diferentes variantes existentes en árabe o los posibles eventos que los originaron. Por último, se señalan las características dia lectales más relevantes ; This paper presents some popular proverbs used in the spoken Arabic of Damascus nowadays. The aim is to add new data for the study of this dialect as well as reflect the survival of traditional proverbs in a modern urban Arabic Dialect. Furthermore, the ar ticle dedicates a chapter to list and describe in detail the most relevant sources of proverbs focused in the dialectal area of the Levant. The data has been gathered from three famous serials broadcasted in Syria by the satellite TV in the last years. Th e proverbs are transcribed, translated into Spanish, explained. Also, for most of them a similar proverb in Spanish is included. Besides, documented variants in Arabic and possible events that originated the proverbs are provided if possible. On the other hand, relevant dialectal features are pointed out.
