Abstract:
The study was planned to understand the perceived causes and treatment options for mental health problems among two marginalized communities in Pakistan: a nomad community and the Kalasha. The Kalahsa are a religious, ethnic and linguistic minority community. The aim was also to identify the well-being and resilience of the Kalasha community. The data were collected using focus group discussions and semi-structured interviews. This qualitative project makes a meaningful contribution to the existing body of knowledge on mental health and psychological resilience of Asian marginalized communities, helping to cover gaps in the literature and making suggestions for future interventions. ...
