Abstract:
International audience ; The aim of this article is to present the collocations - elements of phraseology - as we describe them for their teaching in FLE (French as a Foreign Language) classes and more particularly FOU (French for University Purposes). We will first address the teaching framework of these fixed elements to an allophone audience of students who have come to follow Master and Doctorate studies in French universities. Then we will describe the difficulties that these elements pose to allophone students in a framework of teaching university writing, thanks to previous work carried out on learners' writings. Finally, we will see which definitions of collocations are interesting for language teaching since these elements can be described according to two complementary approaches, from our point of view: one approach by frequency, thanks to the use of numerical corpora, and the other by meaning in connection with lexical combinatorics.
