The contents of the documents include protection and healing recipes, formulas for good luck, a Mandinka calendar with the months and the days in each month, and numerous figures and numerological formulas. Dual literacy in classical Arabic and Mandinka Ajami is necessary to understand the contents of many of the documents in this collection.
