Abstract:
The dissertation will adopt a psycholinguistic approach to special learning difficulties and, more specifically, dyslexia. First, I will offer the theoretical background on dyslexia, mainly focusing on the cognitive control impairments underlying the disorder and how these deficits affect dyslexic students’ ability to learn a foreign language. In the second part of the dissertation, I will focus on developing materials suitable for learners with dyslexia. Specifically, the recommended activities will aim at compensating for cognitive control deficits in dyslexia by mainly tapping on cognitive control functions that are considered to be preserved in dyslexia. One of the learning activities will be computerized. Using the appropriate software, I will try to develop an application which the learners can access longitudinally and the results will be automatically sent to the administrator ... : Η παρούσα διπλωματική εργασία θα υιοθετήσει μία ψυχογλωσσολογική προσέγγιση προς τις ειδικές μαθησιακές δυσκολίες, και πιο συγκεκριμένα, τη δυσλεξία. Αρχικά, θα παρουσιάσω το θεωρητικό υπόβαθρο της δυσλεξίας, εστιάζοντας κυρίως στις διαταραχές των επιτελικών λειτουργιών που διέπουν τη δυσλεξία και κατά πόσο αυτές οι διαταραχές επηρεάζουν την ικανότητα των δυσλεκτικών μαθητών να μάθουν μία ξένη γλώσσα. Στο δεύτερο μέρος της διπλωματικής, θα εστιάσω κυρίως στην δημιουργία εκπαιδευτικού υλικού κατάλληλου για μαθητές με δυσλεξία. Συγκεκριμένα, οι προτεινόμενες δραστηριότητες θα στοχεύουν στη βελτίωση των επιτελικών λειτουργιών που επηρεάζονται, βασιζόμενοι στις επιτελικές λειτουργίες που θεωρείται πως μένουν ανεπηρέαστες στη δυσλεξία. Μία από τις δραστηριότητες θα είναι σε ψηφιακή μορφή. Χρησιμοποιώντας το κατάλληλο λογισμικό, θα προσπαθήσω να αναπτύξω μια εφαρμογή στην οποία οι μαθητές θα μπορούν να έχουν διαχρονική πρόσβαση και τα αποτελέσματα θα αποστέλλονται αυτόματα στον διαχειριστή ...
