Abstract: This paper addresses the issue of L2 grammar teaching to EFL students with the focus on literature including short story. A method of L2 grammar teaching consists of two stages (a) exploration (inductive learning), (b) explanation (deductive learning). To illustrate how each of these stages function, 65 students studied in Islamic Azad University Ardebil Branch were selected. They were assigned into two groups: Experimental group and Control group. The experimental group received a three-month instruction in which grammatical points were taught through the use of some interesting short stories. The control group, on the other hand, received the ordinary materials during the same period of time. At the end both groups were given a general proficiency test. The data were analyzed to determine whether there was a significant difference between the performance of the control group and the experimental group. The results of the second proficiency test indicated that the number of the average students in E.G. was 15 whereas in group CG it was 4. The number of excellent students in
