Il existe également une version papier de ce numéro, avec une pagination différente. ; Although research in Speech Sciences has greatly developed in recent years, the applications of this research has had difficulties in reaching the language classroom. Limited training of the teachers in Phonetics as well as a restricted dialogue between speech researchers and language teachers explain in part a lack of innovation in technological tools and pedagogic practises. The result of the collaboration between a phonetician/computer engineer/researcher and a phonetician/teaching methodologies theorist/teacher, WinPitch LTL is a real time speech analyser, visualizer and synthesiser. Building on the research in speech visualisation and the importance of feedback in the acquisition of phonological and prosodic systems in a second language, this authoring software aims to facilitate and accelerate the process of auditory discrimination essential at the beginning of all language learning. But, of more significance than a simple visualizer, this software develops in the learner an awareness of the process of his/her learning ; the multiple functions of observation, visual/auditory comparison, segmentation, signal editing, and the ability to redesign the intonation curve or the duration of a segment using synthesis, favour the development of a reflective, progressive and autonomous learning style. Furthermore, and in contrast to automatic speech recognition programs, the originality of WinPitch LTL lies in the precision and quality of the teacher's feedback to the learner's oral productions, allowing the latter to critically examine his/her oral production at any time. Finally, an individualised approach is reinforced by the software's numerous possibilities of (self) evaluative dialogue between the learner and the teacher, either in a synchronous relationship in the classroom or asynchronously in a distance learning setting. ; Bien que la recherche en Sciences du langage ait énormément évoluée ces dernières années, les applications de cette recherche ont du mal à aboutir dans les classes de langue. Une formation phonétique limitée pour les enseignants ainsi qu'un dialogue restreint entre chercheurs de la parole et enseignants de langue expliquent en partie un manque d'innovation dans les outils technologiques et pratiques pédagogiques. Né de l'étroite collaboration entre un phonéticien-informaticien-chercheur et une phonéticienne-didacticienne-enseignante, WinPitch LTL est un analyseur en temps réel, un visualiseur et un synthétiseur de parole. Partant des recherches sur la visualisation du signal et l'importance des indices visuels dans l'acquisition du système phonologique et prosodique d'une langue, ce logiciel auteur vise à faciliter et accélérer le travail de discrimination auditive essentiel au début de tout apprentissage oral. Mais au delà de la simple visualisation, ce logiciel favorise chez l'apprenant une prise de conscience du déroulement de son apprentissage ; les multiples fonctions d'observation, de comparaison visuelle / auditive, de segmentation, de manipulation du signal, ainsi que la possibilité de redéfinir le contour mélodique ou la durée d'un segment par la synthèse, privilégient un style d'apprentissage "réfléchi" et un entraînement progressif à l'autonomie. De plus, et contrairement aux programmes de reconnaissance vocale, l'originalité du logiciel réside dans la précision et la qualité du feedback que l'enseignant peut apporter sur les productions orales de l'apprenant, amenant celui-ci à porter à tout moment un regard auto évaluatif pertinent sur son discours oral. Enfin, une démarche personnalisée est renforcée par les facilités de dialogues (auto)évaluatifs entre l'apprenant et l'enseignant qu'offre le logiciel, en présentiel ou à distance.
