Abstract:
IE TCD MS 1317 is a composite manuscript consisting of glossaries and miscellanea with the addition of some pages of printed text at the back of the volume. This codex contains items almost exclusively in Irish (see T.K. Abbott and E.J. Gwynn, 'Catalogue of Irish Manuscripts in the Library of Trinity College Dublin', (Dublin and London, 1921), 92-94, 341-342) but does have, in 17th-century writing, the following in Latin, described in M.L. Colker, 'Trinity College Dublin Library: Descriptive Catalogue of the Medieval and Renaissance Latin Manuscripts', (Dublin, 1991):Page 62: (1) Notes on Adamnan. Includes a quatrain from Félire Oengusso (J.F. Kenney, 'The Sources for the Early History of Ireland: Ecclesiastical', (Dublin, 1929), repr. (Dublin, 1979), no. 272) for his feast (September 23), in Irish with a Latin translation and Irish glosses; a note on Canon Adamnani de faeminis non uidendis (cf. J.F.
