Abstract:
This work presents the results of the master's research developed in the Postgraduate Program in Linguistics at the University of Brasília (UnB). The theme is part of the Lexicon and Terminology research line, being developed at the Centro de Estudos Lexicais e Terminológicos (Centro Lexterm) and at the Laboratório de Língua de Sinais Brasileira (LabLibras) of the University of Brasília. The object of study consists of the definitions of mathematical terms related to the conceptual field of equations, found in textbooks approved by the PNLD and in specialized mathematical dictionaries. The target audience is students from the 7th year of elementary school to the 3rd year of high school, since the content of equations runs through all these school years. The objective of this work is to analyze the definitions and present a proposal for reformulated definitions. For that, the method used in the research was the analytical-descriptive. As methodological procedures, we adopt the following paths: i) collection of terms and definitions; ii) analysis of definitions and iii) reformulation of definitions according to Nascimento's proposed reformulation form (2016, p. 99). As a result, we present the reformulated definitions for the 30 terms that compose the conceptual field of equations. ; Este trabalho apresenta os resultados da pesquisa de mestrado desenvolvida no Programa de Pós-graduação em Linguística da Universidade de Brasília (UnB). O tema insere-se na linha de pesquisa Léxico e Terminologia, desenvolvido no Centro de Estudos Lexicais e Terminológicos (Centro Lexterm) e no Laboratório de Língua de Sinais Brasileira (LabLibras) da UnB. O objeto de estudo é constituído pelas definições dos termos matemáticos relacionados ao campo conceitual equações, encontradas nos livros didáticos aprovados pelo PNLD e em dicionários especializados de matemática. O público-alvo são os alunos do 7º ano do Ensino Fundamental até o 3º no Ensino Médio, visto que o conteúdo de equações perpassa todos esses anos letivos. O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar as definições e apresentar proposta de definições reformuladas. Para tanto, o método empregado na pesquisa foi o analítico-descritivo. Como procedimentos metodológicos, adotamos os seguintes percursos: i) coleta dos termos e das definições; ii) análise das definições e iii) reformulação das definições segundo a proposta de ficha de reformulação de definição de Nascimento (2016, p. 99). Como resultado, apresentamos as definições reformuladas para 30 termos que compõem o campo conceitual de equações.
