Abstract:
"Rééducation Orthophonique" est une revue scientifique trimestrielle, réalisée par la Fédération Nationale des Orthophonistes. Chaque numéro est thématique. ; National audience ; This article is a review of the literature on current scientific researches and pedagogical resources concerning Human Beatboxing and its use in speech therapy. The aim of this contribution is first to describe this technique that uses the human vocal apparatus in an extreme way: the sounds and other elements that characterize it are described before drawing the atypical aspects. It is then shown that these particularities can be useful for the rehabilitation of several speech disorders. In this artistic technique designed to imitate and stylize a large number of sounds (percussion, wind and string instruments, electronic sounds and other noises), the vocal apparatus behaves in an extreme manner without being deviant: the sounds of Human Beatboxing solicit both inspiration and expiration during their production, and both non-pulmonary and pulmonary air flows. The structures of the laryngo-pharynx and the oro-pharyngeal or oro-facial articulators are mobile and strongly solicited. The air flows, places of articulation at the laryngeal, peri-laryngeal, buccal, and in particular labial levels, very active, can be exploited in the rehabilitation of certain voice disorders (laryngectomy, recurrent paralysis), swallowing (dysphagia), articulation, or speech (parkinsonian dysarthria, stuttering, and other speech disorders in some cases of intellectual disability) : they mainly allow, in a playful and motivating context, to tone up the patient's laryngo-pharyngo-oro-facial sphere, and to develop his sound, articulatory and rhythmic skills. ; Cet article est une revue de littérature sur les recherches scientifiques et les ressources pédagogiques actuelles concernant le Human Beatbox et son utilisation en rééducation orthophonique. Le but de cette contribution est d’abord de décrire cette technique en montrant qu’elle utilise l’instrument vocal humain de manière extrême : les sons et autres éléments qui caractérisent le Human Beatbox sont décrits avant d’en tirer les aspects atypiques. Il est ensuite montré que ces particularités peuvent être utiles pour la rééducation orthophonique de plusieurs troubles. Dans cette technique artistique destinée à imiter et styliser un grand nombre de sons (percussions, instruments à vent et cordes, sons électroniques et autres bruits), l’instrument vocal humain se comporte de manière extrême sans pour autant être déviant : les sons du Human Beatbox sollicitent autant l’inspiration que l’expiration durant leur production, et autant des flux d’air non pulmonaires que pulmonaires. Les structures du laryngo-pharynx et les articulateurs oro-pharyngés ou oro-facials sont mobiles et fortement sollicités. Les flux d’air, lieux d’articulation laryngé, péri-laryngé, buccal, et en particulier labial, très actifs, peuvent être exploités dans la rééducation de certains troubles vocaux (laryngectomie, paralysie récurrentielle), de déglutition (dysphagie), d’articulation, ou de parole (dysarthrie parkinsonienne, bégaiement, autres troubles de parole en lien avec une déficience intellectuelle) : ils permettent principalement, dans un contexte ludique et motivant, de tonifier la sphère laryngo-pharyngo-oro-faciale du patient, et de développer ses habiletés sonores, articulatoires et rythmiques.
