Abstract: Miguel Gorostiza Gabrioto habla de varios tipos de xokoyo:lin que conoce. El primero es el teko:seh que es de tallos blancos y flores rojas. No se comercializa sino que se da por si solo en los cafetales. Van allá para traerlo para comer. Comenta que para diferenciar el teko:seh con el xokoyo:lin comercializado, se restriega con las manos las flores del teko:seh y le sale una tinta roja. Después habla del pe:sohxokoyo:lin, llamado así porque el tallo tiene mucha pubescencia (como el pellejo del tejón). Se conoce también por pa:ti xokoyo:lin, porque el tallo es muy suave y al prepararlo en comida se deshace muy fácilmente. También habla del xokoyo:lin que crece en los árboles cuya hoja se hierve y con eso se enjuaga uno la boca, para curar el mal de boca (te:mpala:n). Por último habla del xokoyo:lin esquinado (Nota: es un Melastomataceae, o Arthrostemma ciliatum Pav. ex D. Don. o Arthrostemma primaevum Almeda) y dice que sus hojas se muelen para agregarle y darle sabor al chilposonte.
