Student interview for Place-Based WAC/WID writing instruction in a sophomore honors seminar, clip 13 of 18
Abstract: This item includes a segment of an a student interview in a Writing Intensive course in a sophomore honors seminar at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. The interview was conducted in 2014 and in this clip the interviewee is explaining horticulture therapy. ; Brief excerpt from interview: I'm specifically looking into the use of edibles for the treatment of mental illnesses. I think it's difficult to get anything done unless you get some support behind you, so having this opportunity to write a proposal and get some backing from the undergraduate research program has definitely helped me learn how to write better and get some support for things I'm interested in.
