	Abstract: Most studies of children with ASD evaluate communicative and pragmatic skills in experimental settings. To understand ASD children's capabilities, or how to enhance their social adaptation, studies of natural interaction with familiar partners appear crucial. This talk focuses on studies of everyday naturally-occurring social interaction between ASD children and their familiar partners, looking at the development of typical and atypical functioning of pragmatic skills in everyday communication. The negotiation of oppositional episodes will be described in detail. Particular attention will be given to the production and comprehension of justifications and to their effect on the ensuing social interaction. Oppositional episodes are of special interest because they occur frequently in everyday interactions and are clearly identifiable. Moreover, they are particularly demanding from the viewpoint of socio-pragmatic adaptation and can thus reveal children's level of understanding in the domain of ToM in action. Our pragmatic approach will be illustrated by comparative studies of ASD children matched on verbal age to typically developing children. The discussion will focus on the importance of studying naturally-occurring interaction for understanding children's practical "theory of mind", adequate functionings as well as difficulties, and for planning future intervention studies. ; La plupart des études évaluent les aptitudes communicatives et langagières des enfants avec autisme dans des situations expérimentales. Pour comprendre les capacités de ces enfants, et/ou pour pouvoir soutenir et améliorer leur adaptation sociale, il est essentiel d'étudier leurs interactions naturelles avec des partenaires familiers. Cette présentation porte sur des études des interactions sociales apparaissant spontanément dans les situations quotidiennes, avec pour objectif la mise en évidence du développement de fonctionnements tant atypiques que typiques des capacités pragmatiques dans la communication de tous les jours. Nos travaux se sont notamment consacrés à une analyse systématique et approfondie de la négociation des épisodes d'opposition qui surviennent au quotidien Nous étudions particulièrement à la production et à la compréhension des justifications, ainsi qu'à leurs effets sur la suite du déroulement de l'échange. Les épisodes d'opposition présentent plusieurs intérêts : ils sont clairement identifiables et apparaissent fréquemment dans les interactions quotidiennes ; de plus, ils sont particulièrement exigeants du point de vue de l'adaptation socio-pragmatique et peuvent ainsi révéler le niveau de compréhension de l'enfant dans le domaine de la " théorie de l'esprit en action ". Notre approche pragmatique sera illustrée par des études comparatives d'enfants avec autisme et d'enfants typiques appariés sur l'âge verbal. La discussion pointera l'importance de études des interactions spontanées pour la compréhension des compétences pratiques en théorie de l'esprit, pour la mise en évidence des fonctionnements autant que de dysfonctionnements et pour planifier de futures études d'intervention.
