Abstract:
La voix causative de l'arabe, qui se caractérise par l'utilisation de formes verbales particulières, permet d'introduire un nouvel argument en position de sujet. Ce nouvel argument, toujours agentif, apparaît comme la cause du procès, qu'il effectue directement l'action ou qu'il la fasse effectuer par un autre agent. La causalité exprimée par la voix causative n'épuise pas l'expression de la cause mais c'est généralement le seul cas où cette notion s'exprime en relation directe avec celles d'agent et de patient. En arabe, le complément circonstanciel de cause et la subordonnée causale sont introduits par des fonctionnels variés, mais aucun des deux ne semble poser de problème spécifique du point de vue de l'analyse structurelle. Dans le cas du hassaniyya, cependant, l'expression de la cause est compliquée par le fait que la mention de l'élément causal (ou affectant) tend à impliquer aussi celle de l'élément affecté. Cela a occasionné un emploi particulier des pronoms affixes et a donné naissance, dans le cas du circonstant, à un énoncé nominal original où l'élément causal prend le statut de sujet.
