Abstract:
Epicratinus ehonda sp. nov. Figs 24–25. Type. Male holotype from Estaç „o Ecológica do Una, 15º17’48’’S, 39º03’28’’W, Una, Bahia, Brazil, X/1999 - IX/2000, M.F. Dias, deposited in IBSP 64527. Paratype. 1♀, same data of holotype deposited in IBSP 64499. Additional material examined: BRAZIL, Bahia, Una, Estaç „o Ecológica do Una, 15º17’48’’S, 39º03’28’’W, 1♁, 2003, M.F. Dias (IBSP 62505); 1♁ (IBSP 64546). Diagnosis. Males of E . ehonda sp. nov. are easily recognized by a dorsal distal constricted patellar apophysis, with inverted comma-shaped dark brown, hyaline RTA directed retrolaterally and bifid in the distal portion without separation. Females epigynum presents small atrium, spermathecae resembles the shadow of a crouching person which reveres the other, with a camera visible all over the spermathecae (Figs 24, 25). Etymology. The specific epithet is a noun taken in apposition and is in reference to Edmond Honda, a fictional character in Street Fighter series game from CAPCOM. E.
