PHRASE-STRUCTURE ORIENTED QUERY LANGUAGE. VOLUME II. SYSTEM DESCRIPTION.
In: DTIC AND NTIS (1968)
Abstract: Phase III of the Deacon project changes none of the basic goals. Neither does it change the fundamental concept of analysis of a natural language statement. The semantic counterpart of syntax remains the theoretical basis for reduction of a statement to meaning within a data collection. The same basic steps of vocabulary retrieval, parsing to recognize an applicable grammar rule, syntactic check and semantic check for appropriate data, and response from or entry to a data base remain.
