Abstract:
O protocolo do Perfil da Fluência da Fala foi publicado em 2000, sendo o protocolo mais utilizado nacionalmente para avaliar essa habilidade. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi investigar as tipologias de rupturas de fala (ocorrência, frequência e posição) em indivíduos fluentes e em indivíduos gagos. O estudo foi composto por 967 participantes, com idades entre 2 e 65 anos, residentes no município de São Paulo e na Grande São Paulo. Os participantes foram divididos, inicialmente, em três grupos: crianças, adolescentes e adultos. Posteriormente, cada grupo foi divididos em dois subgrupos: participantes com queixa e participantes sem queixa. Os resultados provisórios mostram que os valores das rupturas gagas foram diferentes entre os grupos analisados. Os valores das rupturas comuns foram próximos entre os grupos. A análise final dos resultados permitirá rever as tipologias das rupturas, e, por fim, melhorar a precisão diagnóstica da gagueira, assim como da fluência. Comparar indivíduos com e sem gagueira nos permitiu diferenciar os aspectos que são pertinentes à gagueira daqueles que são inerentes à linguagem e à língua pesquisada. ; The Fluency Profile Assessment Protocol was published in 2000 and is the most widely used protocol to assess this ability in Brazil. The aim of this research study was to investigate the types of disfluencies (occurrence, frequency and position) in fluent and stuttering individuals. This study was composed of 967 participants, aged 2 to 65 years, living in the city of São Paulo. Participants were initially divided into three groups: children, adolescents and adults. Subsequently, each group was divided into two subgroups: participants with complaints about stuttering and participants without complaints about stuttering. Provisional results show that the stuttering-like disfluencies values were different between the groups analyzed. Values for the other disfluencies were similar between the groups. The final analysis of the results will allow us to review the types of disfluencies, and, finally, improve the diagnostic accuracy of stuttering as well as fluency. Comparing individuals with and without stuttering has allowed us to differentiate aspects that are pertinent to stuttering from those that are inherent to the language and the researched language
