Adaptive Kompetenzen von Kindern mit Down-Syndrom – ein Follow-up über zehn Jahre ; Adaptive competences of children with Down syndrome - a ten-year follow-up
In: Empirische Sonderpädagogik 13 (2021) 2, S. 100-109 (2021)
(DIPF/Orig.) ; We report on a follow-up study on the adaptive competence of 30 children with Down syndrome who participated in the Heidelberg Down syndrome study. We used the Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales-II (Sparrow et al., 2005) when the children were eleven years old. The results point to a profile with strengths in receptive language and domestic skills and weaknesses in expressive language and motor skills. The developmental age in motor skills, receptive language and play skills obtained at the age of two years predicts the developmental age in these scales at the age of 11. (DIPF/Orig.)
