Abstract:
The tale of the man who was born as a snake is told here in a short version. The man-snake kills all the women he gets married to during their wedding night. But one mother dreams of how her daughter will get married to him and help him stay a man. She has to wear forty one pieces of clothes and take them off one by one only every time the man-snake will take off one of his forty pieces of snake-leather. This way he takes off all his snake-leathers and becomes a very handsome man. ; Discourse type: narrative
