Abstract: Desde su surgimiento la investigación de la comunicación ha estado estrechamente ligada a la Sociología, Este hecho ha implicado una serie de problemas para el estudio de la comunicación, pero al mismo tiempo le ha brindado elementos para su desarrollo. Este ensayo analiza las relaciones entre ambas disciplinas. ; Communication research has bore since its origins an intimate relation with sociology. This has implicated a set of theorical and methodological problems to communications research and at the same time has provided elements for its development. This essay analyzes the relationships between both disciplines.
