These factors play an important role in informing the design of effective and appropriate human-computer interfaces. In this paper we explore issues in interface localization, and the challenge of designing for multiple markets and audiences. We use a high-speed low cost analysis of different national and linguistic versions of the home pages of Yahoo! and Google to illustrate the power and speed of this approach.
