Aux traces d'une dégrammaticalisation : le médiatif en pomaque (Grèce)
In: Revue des Etudes Slaves ; 14e Congrès international des Slavistes ; https://hal.archives-ouvertes.fr/hal-00294003 ; 14e Congrès international des Slavistes, Sep 2008, Ohrid, Macédoine. pp.177-189 (2008)
Abstract: The analysis of a corpus of tales in Pomak (Greece), reveals the use of a grammaticalized mediativity form by old speakers and the use of the perfect paradigm (mediativity strategy) by younger speakers. This loss goes through a phase of variation for the intermediate generation: loss of auxiliary is maintained in cases of verb repetition (intensive/durative value); for inchoatives and modals + da + Vindicative; for verbs coordinated; and for the introductory formula of tales. We can make the hypothesis that those syntactic contexts were the ones that gave rise to the use of the verbs without auxiliary to express mediativity. ; L'examen de trois générations de pomaquophones dans un village de Grèce montre le processus de dégrammaticalisation du médiatif. La perte se fait à travers un stade de variation déterminée par des critères syntaxiques.
