Abstract: Las habilidades de lectoescritura aparecen como una de las dificultades más persistentes que presentan las personas con Trastorno por Déficit de Atención e Hiperactividad a lo largo de toda su escolarización. El objetivo de este estudio fue conocer la percepción de los padres sobre estos déficits. Participaron 46 familias de niños y adolescentes con TDAH. Los resultados indican que la mayoría de padres manifiestan problemas en las subáreas de lectura (especialmente en comprensión lectora) y escritura (formato y contenido) que influyen en su rendimiento académico. Estos datos avalan la importancia de trabajar la lectoescritura en todas las etapas educativas. ; Literacy skills appear as one of the most persistent difficulties that people with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder present throughout their schooling. The objective of this study was to know the parents’ perception of these deficits. 46 families of children and adolescents with ADHD participated. The results indicate that the majority of parents show problems in the subareas of reading (especially reading comprehension) and writing (format and content) that influence their academic performance. These data support the importance of working on literacy in all educational stages. ; peerReviewed
