Abstract:
L’appel à enquête relative au contact des langues lancé en juin 2010 par la DGLFLF a permis l’observation de l’espace langagier corse sur trois terrains différents : des établissements scolaires bilingues, l’espace public, la radio locale de service public. Trois enquêtes ont été réalisées aux mois de novembre et décembre 2010. En école et en collège, malgré un investissement important des enseignants en matière de langue corse, les productions des élèves, en contexte didactique, sont relativement limitées. Dans les productions spontanées, les pairs utilisent généralement un français générationnel teinté d’accent régional et recourent à l’emprunt au corse. Dans l’espace public, à Ajaccio et à Ile-Rousse, les conversations privées révèlent une certaine fréquence de l’emploi du corse, des pratiques dominantes de recours au contact des langues, une rupture évidente de la transmission intergénérationnelle du corse. Deux émissions de radio font appel à la participation du public. Dans Dite a vostra1, les auditeurs ont pour consigne d’user exclusivement du corse : on note la présence récurrente d’emprunts de nécessité mais aussi l’usage généralisé d’incises auxquelles les puristes eux-mêmes n’ont pas conscience d’avoir recours. Dans l’émission Forum, censée se dérouler plutôt en français, on retrouve une présence non négligeable du corse, le plus souvent en situation de contact, semblant ainsi faire écho au comportement des locuteurs dans l’espace public. ; 'U Corsu' at school and in the street : between visibility, promotion and resurgence The call for research into language contact made in June 2010 by the French language planning body Délégation générale à la langue française et aux langues de France made it possible to observe the Corsican language space in three different areas : bilingual schools, public space and the local state radio. Three investigations were carried out in the months of November and December 2010. In primary and secondary schools, despite considerable investment on the part of Corsican language teachers, learner production in the school environment is relatively limited. In spontaneous production, peers generally use youth type French with a regional accent and make use of borrowings from Corsican. In public space, in Ajaccio and Ile-Rousse, private conversation employs Corsican with some frequency, along with common recourse to language switching. There is a clear break in the intergenerational transmission of Corsican. Two radio programs use audience participation. In Dite a vostra, listeners have to use Corsican exclusively. Here recourse to unavoidable borrowings is common, but also asides, which even purists do not realize they are using. In another program, Forum, which is supposed to be mainly in French, a not inconsiderable amount of Corsican is found, in a way redolent of the language contact behavior of speakers in the public space.
