Abstract:
L’article aborda una temàtica fins ara poc estudiada com és el fet que cada vegada hi ha més infants que tenen més d’una llengua familiar. No parlem dels que són bilingües català-castellà, sinó d’aquells que en el nostre context aprenen a més a més una altra llengua des de petits. Combinades amb les llengües apreses fora de la família, a l’escola i al carrer, els parlants al·loglots constitueixen un nou perfil de persones plurilingües. Des de fa un segle existeixen estudis sobre l’aprenentatge simultani de més d’una llengua, però encara hi ha alguns falsos tòpics que cal desfer per tal d’abordar el plurilingüisme amb tots els seus reptes, avantatges i inconvenients. Fins i tot a Catalunya, on l’aprenentatge del català i del castellà per part dels infants és assumit com un fet normal, i s’admet el plurilingüisme com un valor social, la complexitat associada a l’aprenentatge de llengües familiars al·loglotes és un fet força poc tractat. ; This article focuses on a subject that has been little studied so far: the fact that ever increasing numbers of children have more than one family language. We are not talking about Catalan/Spanish bilingual families, but about families in Catalonia in which children also learn a third language from an early age. Combined with the languages learned outside the family – at school and in the street – speakers of other languages constitute a new profile, that of plurilingual people. Studies of people who learn more than one language simultaneously have existed for more than a century, but there still remain certain false clichés that need to be disproven in order to discuss plurilingualism and all its challenges, advantages and disadvantages. Even in Catalonia, where the fact that children learn Catalan and Spanish is accepted as something normal, and plurilingualism is considered a social value, little consideration is given to the complexities that surround language learning in families where other languages are spoken. ; El artículo aborda una temática hasta ahora poco estudiada como es el hecho de que cada vez haya más niños que tienen más de una lengua familiar. No estamos hablando de los que son bilingües catalán-castellano, sino de aquellos que en nuestro contexto aprenden además otra lengua desde pequeños. Combinadas con las lenguas aprendidas fuera de la familia, en el colegio y en la calle, los hablantes aloglotos constituyen un nuevo perfil de personas plurilingües. Desde hace un siglo existen estudios sobre el aprendizaje simultáneo de más de una lengua, pero aún abundan algunos falsos tópicos que es necesario desterrar a fin de abordar el plurilingüismo con todos sus retos, ventajas e inconvenientes. Incluso en Cataluña, donde el aprendizaje del catalán y del castellano por parte de los niños es asumido como algo normal, y se admite el plurilingüismo como un valor social, la complejidad asociada al aprendizaje de lenguas familiares aloglotas es un hecho muy poco tratado.
