	Abstract: International audience ; La plupart des dialectes arabes connaissent l'usage du morphème s- dans la Xème forme dérivée où s- se combine au morphème -t-, mais le dialecte hassaniyya est le seul à constituer une dérivation ayant comme marque unique le morphème s-. Cette formation se trouve par contre dans d'autres langues du groupe chamito-sémitique — berbères notamment — et l'on peut donc se demander si le substrat zénaga (berbère de Mauritanie) n'est pas responsable de cette particularité du dialecte maure. Dans son ouvrage (Le dialecte arabe ḥassānīya de Mauritanie, 1963), David Cohen répondait à cette hypothèse par la négative. Plus exactement, il estimait que l'absence de formes en s- d'origine berbère ne permettait pas d'établir une influence directe du substrat berbère sur le hassaniyya. Cette position n'a pas manqué de surprendre. Sur la base de mes recherches récentes, d'une part dans le domaine de la dérivation verbale, d'autre part dans le champ morphosyntaxique et lexical du berbère zénaga, je propose de rouvrir le dossier et de réexaminer, sur ce point, les rapports du hassaniyya et du zénaga. L'étude sémantique des formes dérivées en s- et st- fait apparaître certaines valeurs nouvelles, propres à l'arabe mauritanien.
