Abstract: The ITL in Tone Sequences: monitoring the beat We try to replicate earlier results on the ITL in tone sequences with a modified task: Modifying intensity and duration in tone or syllable sequences, we ask participants in a perception experiment(i) Whether a tone/speech sequence ended on a beat or ended on an off-beat, (ii) we ask whether they heard iambs (groups/words with final prominence) or trochees (groups/words with initial prominence). ...
