Metodologies i pràctiques docents per ensenyar català fora del domini lingüístic Pujol Bech, Helena. - 2021 Abstract: La nostra investigació té per objectiu descriure la metodologia emprada pel professorat de l’Escola Catalana de Londres (2015-2020). Amb aquesta recerca volem sintetitzar els primers cinc anys de l’escola a partir de l’experiència de l’equip docent. Mitjançant un mètode qualitatiu d’entrevistes a vuit mestres de l’ECL i les descripcions dels seus blogs, pretenem esbrinar quines han estat les seves experiències i creences docents a l’hora d’ensenyar el català com a llengua addicional a Anglaterra per entendre les particularitats i adaptacions metodològiques d’aquest context d’aprenentatge. Ens basem en tres nivells de concreció de la seva metodologia (Richards; Rodgers, 1986): la concreció curricular, el disseny de l’aprenentatge i la pràctica a l’aula. Al marc teòric exposem els processos d’adquisició de llengües addicionals, els enfocaments de l’ensenyament de llengües i els models per a l’ensenyament del català com a L2. Els resultats d’aquesta recerca indiquen la utilització d’un enfocament comunicatiu a través d’activitats significatives i contextualitzades i incorporen dues idees que caldrà seguir investigant: la importància dels elements culturals en el currículum d’aprenentatge d’una L2 i la necessitat de disposar d’un marc de referència per a l’ensenyament del català fora del domini lingüístic. ; Nuestra investigación tiene como objetivo describir la metodología utilitzada por el profesorado de la Escola Catalana de Londres (2015-2020). Pretendemos explicar los primeros cinco años de la escuela a partir de la experiencia del equipo docente. Mediante un método qualitativo de entrevistas a ocho maestras de la ECL y las descripciones de sus blogs, queremos saber cuáles han sido sus experiencias y creencias docentes a la hora de enseñar catalán como lengua addicional en Inglaterra para entender las particularidades y adaptacions metodológicas en este contexto de aprendizaje. Nos basamos en tres niveles de concreción de su metodología (Richards; Rodgers, 1986): la concreción curricular, el diseño del aprendizaje y la práctica en el aula. En el marco teórico exponemos los procesos de adquisición de lenguas adicionales, los enfoques de la enseñanza de lenguas y los modelos para la enseñanza del catalán como L2. Los resultados de esta investigación indican la utilización de un enfoque comunicativo a través de actividades significativas y contextualizadas en clase y se incorporan dos ideas para continuar con las líneas de investigación: la importancia de los elementos culturales en el currículum de aprendizaje de una L2 y la necesidad de tener un marco de referencia para la enseñanza del catalán fuera del dominio lingüísto. ; This research work aims at describing the methodology used by the teaching staff at Escola Catalana de Londres during the first five years of history (2015-2020). Using a qualitative method, eight teachers have been interviewed and their narrative blogs have been described so as to understand their experiences and beliefs when teaching Catalan as an additional language in England. To achieve the analysis of this particular context we describe their methodology based on three levels of conceptualization (Richards; Rodgers, 1986): the curriculum, the design (syllabus, objectives and content) and the practice in the classroom (procedure). In the theroetical framework the main additional language acquisition teories have been explained and the approaches of language teaching and the experiences of teaching Catan as a second language have also been exposed.The results show that tea chers use generally a communicative approach based on contextualized and meaningful activities in class. Upon the information gathered we can present also two findings that should encourage future research. Firstly, the key role of culture in second language teaching and secondly the need for a framework of reference for teaching Catalan abroad.
