Abstract:
Acompanha: Signwriting: práticas de aprendizagem da escrita da língua de sinais: nível básico ; The motivation for this research was carried out came from the need to enable the 12 LIBRAS’s professionals from schools of region from Paranavaí, operating in the educational context of the Deaf, a basic training for understanding of a writing system for the Brazilian Sign Language, called system SignWriting. Through the theoretical intake based on a number of researchers in this theme and added to an education guided by practical teaching methodology and learning of writing signals developed by Marianne Rossi Stumpf researcher (2005), it was designed a basic material titled "Signwriting: Learning Practices Writing Sign Language". Sign language is the natural language of the deaf, being officially used as a form of expression and communication for the deaf community since 2002, when it had its approval by Federal Law 10.436 / 02. However, in front of the impossibility of writing this language which is visual-gestural through an oral alphabet as the Portuguese, the need to contribute to the education of the deaf, bringing them the opportunity to spell the signs of sign language. Since 1974, with the Danish dancer Valerie Sutton, sign language has been researched, getting its place in more than 40 countries, including Brazil. The SignWriting is a direct visual writing, and through it, you can read and write the language signals without the need for translation of an oral language. It is expected that this research can serve as a contribution to LIBRAS professionals in knowledge and popularization of this writing, in order to strengthen the language skills of deaf enabling them to build their own writing, using for that, the SignWriting system.
