; This paper is the culmination of the Curricular Unit Supervised Teaching Practise of the Master in Music Teaching, taught in partnership by the Superior College of Music and Arts of Porto and Higher School of Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Porto. It comprises the information about the developing teaching practise, through preparation and monitoring reports and personal reflections about the specificities of piano teaching. The internship was developed at Conservatório de Música Calouste Gulbenkian of Braga, so there is relevant information included. Additionally, it integrates the project “Coaching as a teaching strategy to singing students”, with the goal of deepening the suitability of this subject and of their professionals on the musical development of singing students. A methodological approach of research action, was the base for the qualitative analysis of content, through a logbook and student reports. The analysis of the results obtained on the study showed the variety of the domains that coaching encompasses, as well as the importance of the coach and of the piano on the development of skills as breathing, phonetics and diction, musical cooperation and stylistic understanding. The conclusions point to the important benefits on the individual study routines and the work with the piano of this set of ideas, revealing an excellent addition to the singing class, addressing not only the technical aspects of the sung voice, but mainly the development and musical cooperation between voice and piano.
