La conciencia lingüística del autor andaluz Francisco Delicado

Abstract:
La presente investigación consiste en un estudio cualitativo de la conciencia lingüística tanto interna como externa del autor andaluz Francisco Delicado, a partir de los comentarios metalingüísticos que encontramos en los textos de obras de éxito de la literatura española en el siglo XVI y en su obra más famosa, el Retrato de la Loçana andaluza. Este análisis es fundamental como base para estudiar la oralidad en dicha obra y, en particular, el recurso de la mímesis de la oralidad empleado por Delicado, donde pretende caracterizar personajes y situaciones comunicativas por su manera de hablar. Algunos datos biográficos (especialmente, su trabajo como editor de imprenta) contribuyeron de manera decisiva a su elevada conciencia lingüística, propia de un autor literario y cercana a la de los gramáticos y “sociolingüistas” del Siglo de Oro. Con respecto a la conciencia lingüística interna, destaca su preocupación por la correcta pronunciación, tal y como se refleja en sus guías de pronunciación incorporadas a sus ediciones venecianas. En cuanto a la conciencia lingüística externa, Delicado le concede un mayor estatus a la norma de Toledo, por considerarla más elegante; el dialecto andaluz, aunque también es valorado positivamente por Delicado, está relacionado con el ámbito de la oralidad concepcional o inmediatez comunicativa.
