Abstract:
[EN] The aim of the study is to present the importance of the first stage of the translation process in the teaching of translators, especially in the case of students who have not achieved a sufficient fluency in the foreign language (A2 or B1 level). The role of the teacher is in this case to indicate the clues or keys to understanding the source text written in a foreign language. On the one hand, the adept of translation has to realize the multitude of competences, not only linguistic, necessary for a good understanding of the source text, on the other hand, the unpredictability of linguistic creation causes that no course can present the totality of the problem and therefore a good translator must be above all self-taught. Based on a Spanish press text, we will present the problem of how to encourage students to self-study. ; [ES] El estudio tiene por objetivo presentar la importancia de la primera etapa del proceso traductor en la enseñanza de los traductores, sobre todo en el caso de los estudiantes que no hayan alcanzado un dominio suficiente de la lengua extranjera (nivel A2 o B1). El papel del enseñante consiste en este caso en indicar las pistas o claves para la comprensión del texto de origen escrito en una lengua extranjera. De un lado, el estudiante de traducción tiene que darse cuenta de la multitud de competencias, no solo de carácter lingüístico, necesarias para la buena comprensión del texto de origen, de otro lado, lo imprevisible de la creación lingüística provoca que ningún curso puede presentar la totalidad de la problemática y por ello un buen traductor tiene que ser sobre todo autodidacta.
