Abstract:
Rubén Macario Martínez dice que para ir a traer la flor de tewitso:t primero se organizan los mayordomos porque esta flor no se da por esta región. Tienen que ir hasta Tepeyahualco, Santa Crúz u otros lugares cerca de ahí. El mayordomo principal del santo patrón we:i San Miguel, debe ponerse de acuerdo con el mayordomo de San Miguelkone:t para convocar una reunión y así tomar acuerdos sobre la forma de conseguir la flor junto con otros mayordomos. Llevan costales de ixtle, unas bolas de hilo, y hachas para tumbar las matas de tewitso:t al suelo. De regreso con las floras, las esposas de los diputados de los mayordomos (cada mayordomo tiene un diputado) sahuman a las flores antes de que los que fueron metan las flores a la casa de uno de los mayordomos. Al terminar de hacer los arreglos nuevamente se ponen a sahumar las flores para llevarlas a la iglesia como adorno. Antes los mayordomos hacían el xochi:petat que colgaban en el interior de la iglesia, esta forma de adornar también se veía bonito porque también estaba hecho de tewitso:t o de chamakih (Heliconia spp.). Estos adornos se colocan antes del día veintisiete de septiembre para que cuando llegue el día de la fiesta patronal ya esté todo puesto. El veintisiete de septiembre por la mañana bajan al santo patrón de su nicho, el responsable de este acto es el presidente auxiliar, junto con los mayordomos y diputados.
