Neutralidade: Objectividade, Significação e Contexto

|
Abstract:
; This dissertation, Neutrality: Objectivity, Signification, Context, proposes a journey through the concept of neutrality in its relationship with the idea of objectivity, describing the implications that this affinity has in the cognitive process of aesthetic experience. More specifically, the dissertation aims to clarify the understanding of the notion of neutrality in meaningful interpretation, revealing its conceptual plasticity. This dissertation considers the contextual nature of neutrality and investigates the role that the dialectic of the neutral, particularly the conception of space as a neutral space, will have in the presentation and the experiencing of contemporary artistic practices, imposing its validation as art. The analysis of themes from Edmund Husserl's epistemology of perception, namely in Thing and Space, will serve as a guide for the investigation, which will be accompanied by analyses of texts by other authors, including critics and historians of modern and contemporary art.
