Abstract: 本研究旨在探討大學生閱讀策略的使用以及閱讀策略與學習動機的關係。此外,藉由閱讀課程調查大學生在詞彙知識和閱讀理解方面的成就。91名大學生分為控制組和實驗組。91名大學生需閱讀相同的六篇閱讀文章,分別觀看三個與文章相關的影片,並且提供了六個與文章相關的閱讀理解測試來檢測學生的成效。本研究採用描述性統計,Pearson相關定量分析問卷數據;用獨立的t檢驗分析閱讀課程的數據。調查結果顯示,台灣大學生經常使用閱讀策略進行語言學習,更喜歡使用解決問題策略。除此之外,閱讀策略與英語學習動機之間存在正相關關係。這表示學習動機高的學習者在閱讀時會使用更多的閱讀策略。另一方面,學生在詞彙知識和閱讀理解方面的成績在控制組和實驗組之間存在顯著差異。與控制組學生相比,實驗組學生在詞彙知識和閱讀理解方面的表現更為出色。簡言之,閱讀課程結合多媒體為教師和學習者在英文閱讀中提供了有效並且準確的可用益處。 ; This study aimed to detect college students’ reading strategy used and the relationship between reading strategy and learning motivation. Furthermore, the reading invention program was conduct to investigate college students’ achievement on vocabulary knowledge and reading comprehension.The 91 college students were divided into two groups,control group and treatment group.The 91 college students have read the same six reading articles and watched three related video-clips respectively.Moreover, the six related reading comprehension tests were offered to detect students’ performance.The data of questionnaire were analyzed quantitatively with descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation; the data of reading invention program were analyzed with independent t-test.The finding revealed that Taiwanese college students frequently used reading strategy on language learning, and also they prefer using problem-solving strategy. In addition, there was a positive relationship between reading strategy and English learning motivation.It stated that high-motivated learners used more reading strategy while they read.On the other hand, students’ achievement on vocabulary knowledge and reading comprehension has a strong significant difference between treatment group and control group.Students in treatment group performed better on achievement of vocabulary knowledge and reading comprehension than students in control group. In brief,reading program with multimedia provided an available benefit for effective and accurate English reading for instructors and learners.
