Abstract:
International audience ; In this paper we study how popularised discourse on grammar creeps into comments made by primary schoolteachers. Firstly, using a digital forum for the discussion of teaching-related issues, we identify the enunciative specificities of the internet users and recurrent grammatical problems; we then describe the difficulties teachers face in disseminating this knowledge. In the second section, we analyse a particularly complex grammatical phenomenon: the adverb. We determine why this concept – which is traditionally defined as elusive – poses many problems, and we demonstrate how the available resources are disruptive and lead teachers into an impasse, because these (online or written) data are at odds with a thorough and pluralistic linguistic description.
