Abstract:
В данной статье отражены особенности репрезентации китайского образа культурного «другого» на примере отдельных произведений С. Моэма. Научная значимость исследования обусловлена тем, что, несмотря на то, что произведения С. Моэма достаточно хорошо исследованы к данному моменту времени, а особенности образов, являющихся «сквозными» для произведений данного автора, подвергались неоднократному анализу, китайский образ культурного «другого» достаточно нечасто становится предметом научного исследования ученых в области литературоведения, теории и практики перевода, лингвистики, а также смежных дисциплин. Соответственно, представляется целесообразным восполнить данный пробел. Целью исследования является анализ особенностей китайского образа культурного «другого» на примере таких произведений С. Моэма, как «К востоку от Суэца» (East of Suez) и «На китайской ширме» (On A Chinese Screen, 1922). ... : The article reflects features of representation of the Chinese image of the cultural “other” on the example of individual works by S. Maugham. The scientific significance of the study is due to the fact that despite the fact that the works of S. Maugham have been studied quite well at this point in time, and features of images that are “cross-cutting” for the works of this author have been repeatedly analyzed, the Chinese image of the cultural “other” quite infrequently becomes the subject of scientific research of scientists in the field of literary criticism, theory and practice of translation, linguistics, as well as related disciplines. Accordingly, it seems appropriate to fill this gap. The task of the study is to analyze features of the Chinese image of the cultural “other” on the example of such works by S.
