Abstract:
Статья посвящена проблеме кодификации и стандартизации англоязычных юридических терминологических единиц, поскольку на данном этапе для составителей словарей неизбежно столкновение с многочисленными сложностями. Причиной этому является невозможность удовлетворить всем выдвигаемым к термину требованиям и, как следствие, несовершенство терминологических единиц и отражение этих несовершенств в соответствующих терминологических словарях. Цель исследования – выявить и классифицировать основные несоответствия требованиям к термину, обнаруженные на уровне выражения, содержания, а также с позиции функционирования в ряде специализированных терминологических словарей права, изданных в Великобритании и США. Данная статья представляет интерес как для лингвистики в целом, так и для лексикографии и терминографии в частности, а также может оказаться полезной в преподавании языков для специальных целей. ... : The article deals with a problem of codification and standardization of English legal terminological units, since at this stage compilers of dictionaries are inevitably faced with numerous difficulties. The reason for this is the impossibility to satisfy all the requirements put forward to the term and, as a consequence, the imperfection of terminological units and the reflection of these imperfections in the corresponding terminological dictionaries. The objective of the study is to identify and classify the main inconsistencies with the requirements for the term found at the level of expression, content, and also from the point of view of functioning in a number of specialized terminological dictionaries of law published in the UK and the USA. This article is of interest both for linguistics in general and for lexicography and terminography in particular, and may also be useful in teaching languages for specific purposes. ...
