Proyectos de investigación aplicada en el ámbito universitario europeo como modalidad didáctica de la traducción científica

Abstract:
Ante la exigencia creciente del mercado laboral internacional, nuestros estudiantes de traducción deben adquirir competencias lingüísticas, comunicativas e interculturales para ser capaces de enfrentar el mundo profesional actual y futuro. Con las ciencias cognitivas al servicio de la didáctica, se van adoptando modalidades pedagógicas que intentan generar y potenciar las destrezas individuales, permitiendo que el proceso de aprendizaje sea dinámico y maleable en función del espacio, del tiempo y de los objetivos perseguidos en cada proyecto. Este trabajo tiene por objeto caracterizar y analizar diversas experiencias pedagógicas de traducción científica llevadas a cabo en el marco universitario francés (ISIT) y español (Departamento de Traducción e Interpretación, Universidad de Alicante). Se analiza el aporte didáctico de diferentes proyectos de investigación aplicada que consisten en traducciones científicas (francés-español) encargadas por el CNRS (Centro Nacional de Investigación Científica de Francia) para su publicación en línea en su sitio sagascience. Se presenta el proceso metodológico seguido por los estudiantes, los desafíos a los que éstos están confrontados para desarrollar su saber, su saber hacer y su saber ser, así como una reflexión sobre las ventajas y desventajas de este tipo de ejercicio pedagógico. El mismo permite que el estudiante de traducción se convierta, con la ayuda del docente, en el constructor y gestor de su propio conocimiento para enfrentar las tareas en un contexto multilingüe y multicultural. ; Faced with an increasingly demanding international labour market, our translation students must acquire linguistic, communication and intercultural skills if they are to thrive in the current and future professional world. With the help of cognitive sciences, pedagogical approaches are being adopted to try to generate and strengthen individual abilities, turning learning into a dynamic and malleable process that adapts to the space and time available and the objectives of each project. The purpose of this paper is to characterize and analyse several pedagogical experiences in scientific translation carried out in universities in France (ISIT) and Spain (Translation and Interpretation Department, University of Alicante). We analyse different applied research projects consisting of scientific translations (from French into Spanish) ordered by the CNRS (French National Center for Scientific Research) for online publication on its website sagascience. We present the methodological path followed by the students and the challenges they face to develop their knowledge, their know-how and their soft skills, as well as reflecting on the advantages and disadvantages of this type of pedagogical exercise, which allows translation students to become builders and managers of their own knowledge (with the help of the teacher) in order to tackle tasks in a multilingual and multicultural context.
