Unravelling the relationship of conditional rule breaking, creativity, personality traits and entrepreneurship: a neurocognitive study ...
Cubillos-Pinilla, Leidy. - : Open Science Framework, 2021
Abstract: Although conditional rule breaking can be described at the cognitive level, the research on their neural markers and their personality traits that account for inter-individual differences (e.g., conditional rule breaking vs. unconditional rule following) remains scarce. In addition, conditional rule breaking and divergent creativity share an underlying cognitive operation of violating norms to obtain a positive outcome by following internal goals. Moreover, both concepts were shown to be antecedents of entrepreneurship. These relations have, however, not been tested in a comprehensive controlled experimental setting. This study aims to fill up these gaps by understanding the relationship between conditional rule breaking with creativity and entrepreneurship, as well as its neural and personality-based underpinnings. In the present study 40 participants will complete two computerised tasks – the conditional rule breaking paradigm and the alternate uses paradigm – during electroencephalogram (EEG) and ...
