Die Darstellung von ‚Mensch‘ und ‚Natur‘ im einleitenden Kapitel ausgewählter approbierter Biologie Schulbücher für die 5. Schulstufe in Österreich

Abstract:
Mithilfe von diskurslinguistischen Methoden wird der fachdidaktischen Frage nach gegangen, wie Mensch und Natur in zwei Biologie-Schulbüchern für die 5. Schulstufe dargestellt werden. Die Untersuchungsmethode ist dabei stark am Text orientiert. Insbesondere spielen die Mikrostrukturen des sprachlichen Handelns eine große Rolle. Als zentrale Begriffe werden Ideologie, Kritik und Diskurs besprochen. Durch ein Vorgehen nach der kritischen Diskursanalyse werden verborgene (ideologische) Diskurse freigelegt und so Kritik an den vermittelten Bildern geübt. Es wird versucht aufzuzeigen, welche anderen Möglichkeiten den Autorinnen zur Verfügung gestanden wären. Bei den Ergebnissen zeigt sich dann etwa, dass der Mensch in einem der Bücher als Spitze der ‚Stufenleiter der Natur‘ dargestellt wird. Natur wird zum Teil romantisiert, dies geschieht zum Beispiel durch eine Allegorisierung der Natur. Auch zeigt sich, dass das vermittelte Menschenbild teilweise mechanistisch, teilweise geprägt von den Anforderungen der zeitgenössischen Produktionsverhältnisse ist. Neben diesen Erkenntnissen werden im Fazit mögliche alternative Zugänge zu Mensch und Natur im Biologieunterricht beschrieben. ; With the help of discourse-linguistic methods, the didactic question of how humankind and nature are represented in two biology textbooks for the 5th grade is addressed. The research method is strongly oriented towards the text where microstructures of language and the underlying speech acts are examined. Ideology, criticism, and discourse are discussed as central concepts of this thesis. By preceding according to the critical discourse analysis (CDA), concealed (ideological) discourses are exposed and the conveyed images criticized. An attempt is made to show which other possibilities would have been available to the authors. Some of the results are e.g., that humans are represented as the supreme entity in the great chain of being or that nature is romanticized through allegories of nature. To some extent the concept of humankind is portrayed as mechanical and shaped by the demands of contemporary relations of production. In the conclusion possible alternatives to the depiction of humankind and nature in biology textbooks are given.
